A selenium scavenger chemical: is a reactive selenium scavenger for the common selenium species – selenium, selenides, selenates, and selenites.

This chemical is effective across the spectrum of crude oil and gas production systems, water systems and refineries. It can be used to scavenge these Selenium species by direct injection into production fluids or used in the water wash systems or overheads where the selenates are present. Waste water systems can be treated with this chemical.

It can be applied to naphthas, gasolines, kerosenes, bitumens and cracking processes and products thereof. The product can be used in sweetening units, or gas treating units, packed in towers adsorbed on solid matrices to scavenge the family of selenium and its salts.
