New Chemistries - PC VI 140

PC VI 140

A vanadium corrosion suppressor chemical which is a highly effective reactive vanadium inhibitor for corrosive vanadium species generated on fuel combustion. PC VI 140  will react with vanadium in its oxidation states formed from in situ burning of fuels especially the different fossil fuel oils, to positively control corrosion induced by the vanadium oxides in fuel furnaces, in power plants and in industrial boilers.

Many of the common vanadium oxides produced in the combustion environment will be chemically scavenged by  PC VI 140 by converting them to stable non-reactive compounds. This chemical is effective in crude oil refining using fuel oils, heavy industrial and marine furnaces, and fuel furnaces used in steam and power generation. This additive for fuel oils has been developed to prevent corrosion by low melting point vanadium salts and oxides in relatively high temperature furnace processes including cogeneration plants, which use heavy fuel oils.
